What was the name of your old firmware before the upgrade?

#3

I Downloaded The 24103S --> 32123S Hacked FW From CD Freaks Months Ago

Then Upgraded To 32123S XS06 FW From Liteon Official Site

Only Today Then Upgraded 32123S -->48125W VS06 --> 48125W VS08

Until Now, No Problem At All, No Noise, No Errors…

#4

In theory, that should not work :confused: All others who have tried that resulted in a drive which didn’t write any longer…strange…

#5

Sounds kind of bull-shiste-ish to me…

Well, the VS06 firmware in the zip file he said he used is an un-modified version of the true VS06;

fc UPGRATE.BIN VS06.BIN
Comparing files UPGRATE.BIN and VS06.BIN
FC: no differences encountered

Hi,

Tried it, CD-RW detected as LTR-48125w, but on inserting a CD, it ejected then re-inserted CD about 5 times, loaded and seemed OK.

Tried burn and it froze PC so sticking with LTR-40125s. (this was originally a LTR-32123s)

I was able to record the first cd at 48x with lots of noise but on the second that I tryed to record at 40x for some reaseon it gave me a power calibration error in the end.

Well gonna look for the 40x firmware.
