I'm reminded of the scene in Men in Black where K is showing Jay around and he shows Jay a little disk about the size of a quarter which will become the new music format. His comment was, "I guess I'll have to buy 'The White Album' again." Blatant RIAA / MPAA insert there. Makes you wonder how many times he's had to buy 'The White Album' already, 33 1/3 vinyl, 8 track, cassette, CD. Any I missed from previous to 1995, MP3?
Of course, this from an industry that believed that if you bought a music or video recording and then had a friend over to listen or see it that was considered an unpaid performance. Amazing, isn't it, that the entertainment industry has survived the cassette tape and the VHS tape, which were supposed to bring about its DOOM, and will likely survive MP3 players and the internet as well. It will be changed this time but it will survive.
