Hi, thanks everyone for helping. The first solution actually seems to have worked fine, (adanced windows care professional), so I didn’t check back, sry about that.It found an [b[unbelievable[/b] amount of things wrong with the registry etc.
[QUOTE=bean55;2086635]I second the advice of gamma1 try it and let us know.
It would appear that it is trying to load drivers for something as cholla has ref in post #7
Did you load all drivers from the disc that came with the laptop?Did someone else load all drivers and firmware from the disc that came with the laptop?
Did the laptop come with disc ?
I actually didn’t install the drivers myself, I bought this laptop second hand at a computer store with windows, drivers and software etc installed already.
The laptop did come with a disk, probably an accident on behalf of the computer store.I found a dvd disc in the cd tray with the drivers for virtually every type of computer, I’m thinking that since he made the mistake of leaving the disk in the drive maybe he rushed the job and didn’t do it properly?
