Burned SG1_SEASON3_DISC1 (4.465 mb) (at 6x) and SG1_SEASON3_DISC2 (4.470 mb) (at 8x)
I have also ASUS DVD-E616P1 1.04 RPC All…both disks works fine.

Here is my question:
when i burned using 6x the job finished in 16 minutes and at 8x in 12 minutes.
as you see in attachement, so, 8x in 12 minutes is it good or is it bad?
How do I find if the disk was burned at 8x or 6x, is there any way to see that?
RecordnowMax said: selected speed 8x, used speed 8x

Thank you

12 minutes for 8x speed is bad. Your NEC drive should burn the disc in ~9:30 minutes if you burn it at 8x. You should try out different recording software, e.g. the newest Nero Burning ROM.

If the problem still remains, it indicates that your drive is reducing the speed during the burning process to ensure a good quality burn, since the quality of the media you use is not good enough for a 8x burn. You could test this with Nero CD-DVD Speed (freeware, get it here). Put a disc in your drive, select it from the CD-DVD Speed pulldown menu, and hit the “F9” key to create a data disc. It will show you the transfer rate of the burning process in real time, so you can see if the speed is reduced or not. Post a screenshot of the burn after it is finished.

Thank you for answer me.
I must say that i preffer quality of data first, not high speed burning.
Here’s the results…as you said it takes ~9:30 minutes.
And I will use Nero too for burning dvd data.

Yes, that’s a perfect 8x burn, so RecordnowMax was the problem. Glad I could help.
