i posted this twice i have a movie that came from the uk, but was made in the us. the movie is shadow conspiracy, it plays on my computer but not on my dvd player. I had got some info but since I am not good at computers I still get :confused: one person said to use gspot , well I tried that and was able to download but couldn’t figure out how to use, I can get it to check only one chapter at a time. next I have no idea what I am looking for, and after i find it how to change it to a ntsc file if that is right can someone please help me with a step by step of how to find and correct, so i can play on my big screen :sad:

Looking at your other threads, it seems as though we still don’t know what type of TV system this film is made for. Regardless where you bought it, the most important thing is to find out whether it is an NTSC (USA) or PAL (UK) recording. Also of relevance is the region playback restriction set on the disc.

GSpot is a small utility that can be used to find this out, but if you can’t manage to use that then a simpler way could be to use DVD Decrypter (download: http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/).

Put the movie in the PC DVD drive, then start DVD Decrypter. Make sure it is set to ‘IFO’ mode’ as in the picture below. Then look in the two highlighted areas: the ‘stream processing’ tab on the right for the PAL/NTSC information, and then on the left for the regions that the DVD can be played back on.
