Still getting regular burn errors

I thought I had a problem fixed, but I am still getting coasters like there’s no tomorrow. The most embarrassing part is the fact that I’ve agreed to burn the latest CD for a work colleague and no dice on the 2nd disc.

I cannot figure this one out.

Attached is another error report from NERO.

Thanks for reading

Is there any further info I could give about my rig?

What is this?

The media that you have chosen doesn’t seem to be the best. Why are you burning CDs @4X?

Update your Nero. Do not touch or install IbCD.

Personally I’d give Burrrn (www.burrrn.net) a try. Never favoured Nero for Audio or MP3 CDs.

I have no idea what that item is you have selected, sorry. I was burning at 4x due to the regular errors, thanks for the reply. I will update the version of Nero.

The discs I was using were these which I purchased before the last two negative comments.

Thanks Tim, I will take a look at that software.

beef barley, looking at the log again, the only other peripheral I think this can be, is my HP printer.

beef barley, I found that it’s a Silicon Image device only found in x64.

here’s another error log, this time with a different type of media.

This relates to the media you have chosen.

Thanks, but what does it mean, poor media again?

It’s not necessarily the fact that it is poor media, but the way you are setup, it doesn’t like the media it is seeing. My wife burns CDs all the time, uses Verbatim, Sony & Maxell, hasn’t had a problem yet. This is not going to help your problem but I think you can up your burning speed for CDs to at least 16X & then once you start getting successful burns, go up from there.

What were you burning here & to what brand of blanks?

Thanks once again for replying.

I was burning an .iso file to TRAXDATA CDR-90

Purchased new media Datawrite Silver Printable CD-R’s using Easy CD-DA extractor at 16x burn speed and it failed on a test burn, seems to be going ok @ 10x as I type, do you think this means I will never be able to burn at a higher rate than this?

Would love to know what is wrong with this and why it’s so temperamental.

Still getting the odd failed burn, it’s really frustrating, surely it cannot be the media, I’ve used this brand before and had no issues.

If anyone has any hints or tips as to how this can be resolved, as I am sick of coasters, it would be appreciated.

Thanks
