Sticking keys

[qanda]This thread is about the Acer Aspire 5735-322G25N. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I am unable to say which acer aspire 5735 I have so I have selected the 1st one in the list.

For around 3 weeks my keys have been sticking. I have to hit them very hard and slowly to make any sense in my typing. They just wont work which as you can guess is highly frustating when writing essays.

I have turned it off and on, scanned for viruses and even taken the battery out.

Help!

Did you spill something on the keyboard?

no, they worked one minute and not the next!

Try a system restore

If that does not work contactact Acer, laptop keyboards can be replaced; you can also use a external USB or wireless keyboard tiil you find a better solution.
I have a Acer 5730Z and use it on a stand with a Labtec wireless keyboard and mouse, I like the keyboard and numberpad better than the laptop keyboard.
The connection from the keyboard to the mainboard is with a thin ribbon cable which may not have a good connection.
