I just posted the article SSD gets seriously powerful.

SandForce is here. It’s powerful and blisteringly fast.

Would be nice if they would release some benchmarks on it. :iagree:

But does it play Crysis?
But does it play Crysis?
Lolz!
But does it play Crysis?
Is water, wet?

Adds 30+ FPS :stuck_out_tongue:
Is water, wet?
Only between 0°C and 100°C :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d love to drop this into a Win95 rig with i7 processor. Just imagine the possibilities. It boggles my mind.

Does the pope shit in the woods?
Is a bear catholic…?

Then there is this: One terrabyte SSD with a 600 MB/sec read speed and up to 500 MB/s write speed.
I don´t seem to have a link in English, but you can get the drift here
Then there is this: One terrabyte SSD …
What about marsbyte? Or venusbyte?

scnr,
Michael

Pirates have TERRABYTES eh…so they can say ARR and stuff like that

The extra “r” makes all the difference

:stuck_out_tongue:

Any chance that the thread can get back on topic?

Thanks for posting those benchmarks Dee that Sand-Force controlled SSD is looking sweet. :iagree:

What about the price it would be so powerful to blow your wallet to smithereens would it not? Performance doesn’t come without a price especially with SSD. Until the price of a 2TB SSD is equal to a 2TB HDD, I find it hard to swallow making that large of investment on a large SSD right now.

here you go

I cannot wait for these to come out, they look extremely fast (thanks for the graph Dee).

For converting video on a i7 the Agility 120GB I think is fast now, I can’t imagine having one of these…but I will have to!

Dee do you know when the official release is yet?

Excellent…thanks.

the OCZ Z-Drive takes the SATA bottleneck out of the equation by employing a high-speed PCI-Express architecture for ultimate performance. With an internal four-way RAID 0 configuration that enables up to 870MB/s read and 780MB/s write
Err, can someone send me one…I´d love to try it out!
I shudder to think what the price might be…I´ve seen various figures mentioned, from $1500 to €2200, so I guess I´ll have to wait a bit.

Also nice to see the reminder: SSDs don´t need to be defragmented!
