i wonder if like a lawyer, i could get a percentage of the paybacks to the “customer” for this spyware removal when i go to their house and “clean their computer” or is this gonna be like the ‘do not call list’ and there has only been like 5 actual payouts, that went to the FCC, not the person getting spammed on the fone

It’s about time they banned this computer wrecking crap that in many cases installs itself without consent.

Hmmm - the Privacy Act here in Canada might have quite a bit to say about that. Tremble, you bastards!

Spyware = wiretapping And since when are private companies able to wiretap your home, just because you install a piece of software? Imagine that you bought a new cell phone doing so, gives the cell company the right to record, listen and distribute your phone convos and there is NO op-out of this. Spyware is wiretapping without a judge’s consent, and somehow I really doubt spyware will be able to sneak under the “patriot act” either :stuck_out_tongue:

Its nice to know there are some people out there on the End-Users side. I Hope the spyware company gets a fine thats in proportion to the amount that people have to pay for breaking the law by sharing MP3s (i.e. millions)
