Splinter cell & safedisc

Ok, so I have this image of splinter cell, im not sure how the image was created. Every time I tried to make a cd out of it, the games copy protection kicks in. I was able to install it fine, but after that its crap. My cd-roms are HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE8240B and a HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161B.

Any suggestions on how I can get my backup copy to work?

If you dont know where the image came from, you either have a bad memory or got this from a freind which is considered illegal.

But anyways, ill think that you have a bad memory, for informations sake.

SafeDisc 3.1 is very hardware and software depandant. A good choice would be Alcohol 120%, but avoid CloneCD at all costs.
And your LG units dont look likey to produce a good copy.:frowning:

I would suggest you delete the image and make a new one from your original CD.

I still suggest you re-image the original CD using BlindWrite or Alcohol120, the image you have may be bad.

If you have problems using BlindWrite/Alcohol120% then let us know and we will endevour to help.

Is it splinter cell Pandora tomorrow as this has Safe Disk 3.2 on it, or a different splinter cell?

Original Splinter Cell 1.0 : Safedisc 2.8
Splinter Cell Pandora tomorrow : Safedisc 3.15 in the US / Safedisc 3.20 elsewhere.

Spliter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

Can my burner or dvd-rom handle making an image of it?

Image…yes, BUT, may take time, just use alcohol or bw and mount
Burn copy…I don’t believe so

how do I mount?

Google for “daemon tools” and go from there. You should be able to fig. it out.
