Sometimes, be that video, audio or any MM combined file... suddenly triggers the sound to a simple basic waweform sound, or simple beep if you like. After that, makes no change, many audio/video applications I open.
Whatever I open, that sound remain the only verification instead of normal file reproduction sound within.
My only remedy is to reset machine and then everything is back to normal. I've many time reinstalled the drivers (Mobo, soundcard, drivers) but since this occurrence is not so often (once or twice in 2-3 weeks) I never really persisted to find the real cause of this.
My chipset is VIA that alone + Creative (Audigy 2), I know, doesn't sound very promising in terms of stability. I would like just to understand, what is really the key factor that triggers this state?
Surely someone experienced this problem? I'm just not sure whether my codecs (latest K-Lite Codec Pack) , or KX drivers (latest) or VIA/Creative combination is one to blame?
By understanding this, I just wonder, is there any intelligent way - when this happens again - to somehow reset my sound without the need to reset my machine?
Thank you for your patience and looking forward to your suggestion, or perhaps, already proven solutions.
