SONY000000U9 DVD-RW works only at 1x

Herrie, Any chance you can add support for Sony’s DVD-RW at 2x.

DVDinfpro says it’s 2x, but only 1x descriptor is available.

Thanks.

I just had a look at my firmware overview and compared this disc to other discs. It seems that this disc is only intended for 1x use. Every disc that’s only supported at 1x has the last Byte of its media ID set to 0x20 in the firmware. And this is exactly what we can find in your DVDInfopro dump. (Have a look at the Byte at position 0x0006). I’m not 100% sure, but I guess DVDInfopro just tells you something wrong.

I know this thread is old, but I have 20 of this DVD-RW. See in Benq 1620 media table that media is recordable in 2x in this burner. Any chance to put 2x on NEC 3520a firmware?
Thanks
