So anyway … the rumour has it, that the programmer that wrote the code for the hardware Real Time Clock was a firm believer that 2010 was a leap year and the programmers for the system software clock believe that it’s not, and the issue comes about by the software resetting the hardware clock back to 1/1/2000.
I mean seriously …
if( !modulus(current year,4)) -> LeapYear.
If(modulus(current year, 4)) -> !LeapYear.
When is sony sending me the paycheck for solving their issue?
I knew this Y2K bug would come back and bite us on the ass
Goodnight, and don’t let the Y2K bug bite
… was a firm believer that 2010 was a leap year
2010 “was” a leap year… are you posting this from the future?!
Can you please send me a copy of the Sports Almanac 2010 Edition; there are some bets I wan’t to make.
BTW 2000 was a leap year; 2100, 2200, and 2300 will not be leap years, and 2400 will be a leap year. This is all assuming that we keep using the current Gregorian Calendar of course.
I could not play Heavy Rain yesterday really sucked.
Nice going Sony.
Ugh. Did we ever need to dig up a picture of the boomerang controller? I went through plenty of bottles of gin trying to forget all about it.

I remember when all this will happen again
lost about 10 trophies on heavy rain
Worse for me -
Hubby came home without having heard the news and assumed I broke it!! My argument that this was a worldwide bug did little to change his mind since the problem was not limited to the PSN online world either. YOU try calmly explaining to a stubborn (and angry) Taurus the technical details about how DRM is once again screwing the paying customer and that’s why his COD Modern Warfare 2 CD wouldn’t even play offline…
I’m with debro on this one…
