But surely the downturn in sales is due to piracy and not the economy?! :+

Maybe if they got there act together and made there drives more competitive ie more media compatibility and not lock them at 2x for ripping they would sell more. There support has a lot to be desired also…

dallshead: hah, youre telling me, I am currently doing support for them, their policies are horrible, word of advice, NEVER buy a sony camcorder/ digital camera, there warranties are HORRIBLE (90 days labor 1 year parts), even with parts taken care of labor still comes up to $150-$250, its pathetic, especially seeing $1000 camcorders break after 4 months then the people had to pay $200 to get it fixed, also, most support is done in India now (suprised)?
