Super wifi? For? Maybe for DRM, or to go directly to your bank account to charge you every time you see a movie you bought? who knows?

The good news is that 4k players are coming. This will further promote the availability of 4k content. With 4k TV’s being dirt cheap now, I would like to see the content side take off as well. Then buying a 4k TV will be justified.

Side content has to get pushed out over a decent medium…though that’s slowly becoming less of an issue. Internet capacity is slowly hitting a cap, but these companies will do everything they can to squeeze that 4K across existing fiber & copper lines. And Sony is still trying to push new versions of BD. Let’s hope it all catches on, though; I don’t want to see it turn out like 3D.

But for me 4k is a waste of money…when I can invest in a more powerful computer and save for rainy day when I really need it. 4k is for enthusiasts and I don’t see many good movies worth seeing on 4k. DVD/BD movies work fine with my view needs and hardware wise is healthier on the wallet.
