I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution to both of my Cd, DVD/ROM drives’ software going south. In my Device Manager I get an error (Code 39); says “Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing”. I have a Sony DDU1615 and also a TSST TS-H292B CD-RW. Same error on both and neither will play a CD - or do anything else. Searching for updated drivers has been fruitless so far - hoping someone can help. There was no restore disk with the computer when I got it from Dell. Thanks!
Thank you very much, chef…that worked. Really appreciate the help! Vielen dank.
How can I get the drivers for:
- Sony DVD ROM DDU1615
- Aopen DVDRW 2415pro
I’d appreciate anyone’s help.
Thanks in advance.
You don’t need drivers; your OS should support the drives as soon as they’re installed.
Are you getting the error mentioned at the beginning of the thread, or another error code?
Welcome to the forum, BTW
Chef! Fixed my problem … THANKS!
