Does anyone know what the DRUV204A is? Lite-On? Optiarc? Something else?

I’m guessing it’s an Optiarc AD-7204A just from the naming, but that’s just a guess. (I’m planning to pick one up myself.)

Such a model does not exist, which is why I was asking if anyone had more of a clue. It would be nice if it’s an AD-7200A, but I want to know for sure.

#5

Looking at the faceplate, I’m now almost sure this is an AD-7200A. I will definitely have to pick one up, maybe two. Cheaper than an OEM AD-7200A from NewEgg, and you even get it boxed.

:iagree:You might be right! It has the same square LED and the eject hole is in the same location.

Deal is live and available online.

I just bought 2 online even though the site was not supposed to reopen till 6am. Just a heads up in case anybody else is awake.

That’s 6am eastern time, so if you’re anywhere else, it’s open earlier.

Try to see if you can dump the firmware with BinFlash.

And take some pictures and post them.

The drive is a confirmed Optiarc AD-7200A. I bought three of them. Comes with Nero Essentials 8.

#17

Do the drives come with an extra faceplate or is it just the black one shown in the photo?
Thanks, budzos

Thanks for the quick answer, I was really hoping for a beige and a black. Maybe I’ll sell one and pick up a beige one somewhere else.

And what about the millions of us who dont have a system to support Sata??
Not everyone likes to buy online, a 20X burner for 19.99 out the door is a great deal. Just because it is not something you need doesnt make it bad.
Go home and get your shinebox!:iagree::wink: (just kidding)
