What brand of media are you using?

I am using Memorex, but have used other brands as well…Kodak, Sony etc…

Is it a Memorex dual layer? The log seems to say so… These are made by Ritek, and were known to fail on certain firmware revisions with the BenQ 1640/Sony 810/Plextor 740 (It’s all the same drive). Verbatim is the only reliable choice for dual layer writing.

What about with the Kodak and Sony? Same problem? Single layer?

Your Errors are:
INVALID FIELD IN CDB - Media Related - the burner cant correctly read the prewritten data on the disc that it needs to write to it.
LOGICAL UNIT NOT READY, LONG WRITE IN PROGRESS - One confused Burner due to the CDB Error.
Follow tehGrue’s advice. Get Verbatim.

Ok, not sure if this is important or not but…I tried burning a single layer movie to the ritek dvd and works fine…Have also tried to make a data dvd over 5GB in size and that works fine too, so it would seem the issue is only with burning a d/l movie onto ritek dvd with sony d/l burner…Another question…has anyone tried these dvds with nero 7 and a LG d/l burner??..

Ok, just wanted to add that I found some Verbatim DL DVD and did a test burn and they work…Now to find a cheaper place to buy then here in Western Canada…Also want to say thanks to those who replied to my post with their suggestions and ideas…Great forum !!.. :iagree:

Another suggestion for ya, lose nero as it is not suited very well for dual layer media. I would suggest using DvD Decrypter with AnyDVD as a combo. DvD Decrypter is more suited for writing Dual layers. Make sure that you do it in iso mode. DvD FabDecypter or CloneDVD2 would be my other choices.
