Sony dru 510a burning prob



i am have trouble getting my burner to burn at 4 times it burnt at this speed 4 over a year and then droped to 1 times all of a sudden this is what i have
sony dru 510a
windows xp sp2
dvd decrypter
shrink 3.2
dvd fab
40 gb
2.7gh please help its frustrating when it now takes 1 hr 40min 2 burn a dvd were b4 took just 30min

i went and checked this again and the current transfer mode stats ultra dma mode 5 i dont know if this is any help


what media are you using? use dvdidentifier and post the mid.

have you got any better quality media you could use?

verbatim or tayo yuden should be ok, also liteons/sonys do prefer +R media.


i have used this media over 2 years only had probs within last 4months


Are you sure the dma is UDMA5? That’s normal for a HD. I guess a dru 510 should be UDMA2. Where you looking at the right connection, I guess secondary master or slave?
