Is this a common thing? Is this model crappy? I already upgraded the firmware to version 2.0 and I’m making sure to switch to CDs in Nero. Maybe its a Nero issue? At first I thought it was the generic cheap CDs I was using but I now got some TDKs and the drive is doing the same. DVD +/-R work fine.

I have a Sony DRU-530A (don’t think there’s a such thing as DRM) ?
It works fine with Nero, however Nero has to be the latest version, you maybe using an older version that didn’t support it. Nero6 has had a bunch, try the latest from www.nero.com
Yeah, sorry… it is a DRU… (where did I get DRM?)… I’ll try updating Nero and making sure I got firmware version 2.1c

Yeah 2.1c firmware & the lastest version of Nero, works fine for me.
