I’m sorry I think I asked that question wrong. Where do you buy the Fusion 4x DVD+R from?

can you post the mids also ken so we can compare i want to see if my ty02s match yours.

You didn’t ask it wrong. I thought I left a link to the supplier.

It’s http://www.okcdr.co.kr anyway. That’s the official South Korean distributor of Taiyo Yuden CD-R, DVD-R, and DVD+R media. Fusion also runs this site:

Sure. As long as it doesn’t make this computer crash again. :iagree:

@ kinShin

What drive are you using to read these Disk with? I see the ad(webpage) you gave and it shows 1-4X, but the Media Id Code Speed is showing 8.0x, if the write code is 8X, shoudn’t these disk be able to do 12X?

****** Edit ******

I see you Posted as I was typing, I was asking about post #11

same mid code as mine…bought in us from www.accaproducts.com

heres the part no. http://www.accaproducts.com/tayudv48x1ea3.html

@ Jamos

They seem to be out of Stock on those, I have been looking at that link for a couple days now, Once they become available I will be getting some, I now longer trust Verbatim 8X as I am using the Samsung 4X(which are TY)

I am Ken, not kin. The “Shin” is my family name and Ken’s my own name which I prefer to my Korean name.

I was still editing when you first saw the order page at okcdr.co.kr site.

The disks can be written at 12x and 16x like other T02 media. Though the quality is not as good as retail That’s 8x DVD+R with T02 code.

My guess is that TY ships the same OEM T02 worldwide. I’m still trying to find out how T02 was shipped to Seoul. The disks were made in Japan and shipped to Seoul. Fusion did the printing on the product wrapping which says 1-4x. Perhaps T02 OEM was so cheap that Fusion wanted to introduce them as 4x media in South Korean market to enhance their image. Why buy 4x at the price of 8x?

Because I ordered 500 T02 at once along with some CD-R and DVD-R, I received them right in the boxes that say Made in Japan.

or maybe 4x drives are more popular in south korea so they thought they would get more sales marking them 4x…I know alot of consumers out there that think 8x media is only for 8x drives.

or they could be using various media one of which is ty02s…the next batch could be 4x rated media hard to tell with retail.

but no matter for the question asked by someone else even though the label shows 4x it is still 8x media. :iagree:

I meant no disrespect, bad typing, doing too many things at once, back and forth
