^ Make that £380 over priced!
As far as I can tell, apart from the phone/text support, this iPod touch does everything the iPhone 4 does and both are identical and apart from the slimmer weight/size and lack of earpiece on the iPod touch.
Even if there are other slight differences, this still doesn’t explain why the iPhone is nearly treble the price of the iPod touch!
I just preordered one through a contact I have at Att, price 199.99USD with a 2 year contract, the only problem I have with them is that they offer no insurance, I always had insurance for 7.99 a month with my Blackberry so if it was stolen or lost I could replace it. With the Iphone, you lose it, you pay 500.00USD for a new one.

Its the same with all the high end smart phones. With no contract you pay through the nose for the hardware. I looked into the top Nokias a couple of years ago and with no contract it was $600 - $700. At least with the iPhone you’re getting an iPhone which is a pretty amazing piece of technology.
