SOHW-1633S + TYG02 problems

I was recently given a batch of TYG02’s, and I’ve burnt 2 discs so far that have turned out to be excellent apart from several very high spikes that render the disc pretty much useless.

Any suggestions on what could be causing this, and any way for me to fix it?
