Wait let me get this right they have a Office like suite for Free? Didn’t Open Office already give out a Free alternative to M$ Office??? Or did I miss something? And I got a Office 2010 Enterprise Suite for less from Company incentives and I will keep and use the M$ Office 2010 for years to come.

Having more than one alternative is always a good idea, isn’t it? If you want less bloat, SO is an option. Or AbiWord and Gnumeric.

You are not the intended audience then.

Probably not but unfortunately M$ Office has the market hold and everyone else emulate or uses their format? So it cost more but then again everyone is trying to be like them. So for me since I got it for less and now it’s me and I can live with it. My work uses Office 2010 so it’s better to have software the place you work uses to have better knowledge. I seen where Open Office wasn’t able to format formula in the Open word format that didn’t match Office 2010. I saw this and said that does it no more Open Office. Simple problems like was all it took to make the decision to stick with M$ Office.

Thanks for this, Michael :flower:

Having another option to try IS always good

And any software company that links a promotion with aid to a charitable organization deserves a second look from me :).
