If you have a look at this thread, you will see that Prodisc W01 are generally supported by all official NEC firmwares. If you are unable to burn them, my guess is that the disc is not OK and you should try to burn different media.
What problem do you have exactly? Is the burner unable to recognize the disc or do you have errors after writing?

#3

Errors after writing trying to play it on a stand-alone player.
Its an img file that ive burned before on DVD+R’s successfully.

Maybe I need to try that bitsetting thing? Change it to DVD-ROM.

#4

And I didnt have any buffer underruns while burning, buffer 94-100% full the whole time, nor any error messages.

#5

Hmm the title is wrong, its DVD+RW’s not -RW’s, but I cant edit my post.

Okey I downloaded Herrie 1.07 v2 Beta 5 and set the book type to dvd-rom, but that didnt do anything. Still dosent work reading it, except when its in my burner.
The dvd reader on my computer dosent read it either.

#6

I modified the thread title for you

You are doing a FULL format, setting the booktype for the DVD+RW and THEN burning again correct ?

#7

Nop, not that in that order. Im gonna try that, some time.

#8

“setting the booktype for the DVD+RW”
Can’t a DVD+RW disc be read as booktype DVD-ROM? Or were you saying that the DVD+RW should be set to DVD-ROM?

#9

You got it

ehh… Maybe your standalone dont like your SmartBuy media? I know my SmartBuy dvd+rw was almost impossible to get played on my xbox, so i throw them away and bought som verbatims insted.
