Smart-Burn Check Utility; Firmware ZS0C

Has anyone used this utility yet? I downloaded it it if you click on the Smart-Burn logo, it brings up some information. It says the latest firmware for the LTR-40125S is ZS0C. I went to lite-on’s site to see if it was there to download, but it kept giving server errors. Does anyone else have this firmware?

Also, the Utility says my Tayo-Yuden (probably spelled wrong) and CMC Magnetics discs are both capable of 40x writes, and Nero says that also, but CloneCD will only let me write at 24x. I tried to get clonecd 4 since, but elby’s site is not working. Anyone know what the problem is?

Is the link for Elby … they moved their site to another country !!

As for the tool you mention … It simply tells you how fast your burner will burn on the media you are testing with SMARTBURN enabled.

If you disable smartburn you could prolly burn faster … !

Can you disable smart-burn in clonecd?

I Still can’t get to elby’s sit. Am I the only one?

Simply set writing speed to max in clonecd, it will then write at max speed. The fact that you only have selections up to 24 speed doesn’t mean it will write that slow on max setting.

works nice for me in XP.

Is Hide CD-R media enabled in the CloneCD tray icon?

If not, try to install the newest adaptec ASPI layer.
