Hi guys, i have just replaced my old laptop drive (HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM Gt30n ) wid Matshita UJ8A0AS. The new matshita works burns well but verify is tard slow @ just 1.1x & supported speeds is either too fast or too slow, no medium speeds. I used the GoldFinch Brand disc, it seems to be the culprit, but also my drive isn’t beeing good here either.

Here’s the Log of Imgburn :

Can this be the problem : Duplex Secure’s SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

#3

You can run a transfer rate test with nero cd/dvd speed to see how fast can your drive read cd’s and DVD’s, i want be surprised if your drive is riplocked, and in that case dont expect much out of your drive.

ok thanx ill try and post thr results if i get time.
Here’s the result

It looks normal, maybe something else was also accessing your hard drive at t5he same time.

I uninstalled the Duplex Secure’s SPTD driver a long time ago.
I have Elby software so I use the " ElbyCDIO - Elaborate Bytes" setting instead of
MS SPTI.
I think the speeds you are seeing is the brand & type disc you are using.
Try a Verbatim or TY & see if you have more speed options.

It can be your drive only allows those speeds for DVD . If that is the case only a firmware update will correct it . If there is one for your drive.
