I’m so tempted to pick up some BD-R media, despite not having a drive to use them in. They’re about $14-15CAD for a 25GB disc (I’ve looked on eBay, and the shipping kills whatever deal there is).
Does anyone agree with me in saying that the high price is a premium that almost guarantees quality media?
Think about it - at this stage, most brands are actually manufacturing their own media, which entails higher quality control (as opposed to letting an outsourcer manufacturer the media). I believe that this was the same case with CD-R and DVD-R (right now, there’s all this business with the same MID to several brands, along with varying quality).
