SH222A strange problem with new GPU

I recently purchased the S222A and everything was working perfect on my system :
-M/B ALBATRON K8SLI-AM2 (Nforce 4 SLI)
-ATHLON 64 X2 6000+
-GECUBE RADEON HD2600PRO 512MB PCI-E
-PSU THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER 600W

After that I decided to upgrade my GPU with the Sapphire Radeon 5670 Ultimate.

The problem now, is that upon PC boot the samsung drive seems to scan for disc and “moans” for about 10-15 secs and then you can hear the beep sound for the POST screen and then windows load normally.

When i unplug the Samsung drive everything works ok (no scanning-no delay)
I thought it was a PSU problem so i unplugged some disk drives but still no luck, the samsung still scans for disc.
Please notice that the scan disk hapens when i press the power button on,before POST screen appears.
In BIOS everything is set to load from hard disk.

Any ideas about this strange behavior?

Maybe a defective cable?

Did you try to connect the samsung drive to a different connector?

Hi,

what happens if you switch back your VGA card?

-With the old card is working ok
-The same happens with different cable

Any other ideas?

Either there is a compatibility problem with your new VGA card and your motherboard, or there is something wrong with your PSU.

Have you tried to find a BIOS update (mobo)?

Still no luck guys.
I’ve read that there are compatibility problems with the Nforce SLI 4 chipset and Ati cards…
