I own a 203B, which is the same drive minus Lightscribe
Because i´ve wasted 4 Dl dvds already and they are quite expensive.
How have you verified that the booktype was not set? Normally you should see a message about that in the ImgBurn log window.
And if the drive does that will it set the bitset automaticly with any kind of media?
I tried DVD+R and it worked for me. DVD+R DL should work also.
Note, there is an option in ImgBurn "set automatic booktype" that has to be checked (it is enabled by default, normally).
Please also note that the bitsetting capability is negatively affected if the drive is connected to certain Sata controllers. This issue is known with many Via chipsets, and Jmicron based controllers aren't very reliable also.
(because dl dvds are weird .... i have never had so many problems with dvds as i have now)
There is only Verbatim, which is reliable. Preferably the 2.4x media "Made in Singapore".
And what do you mean by patching tools
You should really have a look into the FAQ in my signature
PS: I have photoshop to crop the image but i was to lazy to do it
