SH-S202J SB02 Burn Speed Of MKM 003 Media

[qanda]This thread is about the Samsung SH-S202J DVD-Writer. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I’m a owner of SH-S202J with firmawre version SB02 patched with Patch Utility for Samsung.

My prefer media for burning DVD+R DL is MKM 001 at 2.4x. My question goes around that the place I usually pursache these discs (Verbatim DVD+R DL) has replaced them with MKM 003. The info of the MKM 003 in this place is this:

If I open the firmware that I flashed to my burner with Media Code Speed Edit it’s telling to me that MKM 003 burns at 4x-6x-8x-10x. So I want to supposed that my burner will burn these discs at lower speed of 4x instead the 2.4x,3.3x-8x that the info from this place is telling.

So, Could be anyway to “force” it to burn MKM 003 at 2.4x ?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english if any part in the post is not very clear.

That makes no sense.
MKM003 should be burned at least at 4x!

[QUOTE=chef;2230072]That makes no sense.

Why MKM 003 should be burned at 4x ? There’s no possibility to burn it a 2.4x ?

If I open the firmware that I flashed to my burner with Media Code Speed Edit it’s telling to me that MKM 003 burns at 4x-6x-8x-10x

That’s why, I don’t see 2.4X mentioned there.

So, my question then. It’s possible to modify or include 2.4x to MKM 003 using Media Code Speed Edit or not ?

Just read the MCSE FAQ.

Why?

I think this is just another “believer” in the myths of low-speed-burning. LOL

Well, in this case I’m still a “believer” in the myths of low-speed-burning.

My xbox 360 stills read perfectly my backup discs burned at 2.4x, if I burn them at more speed I’m getting error that the disc can not be readed.

Then any help for you is futile, sorry.
