Burn slower and connect the drive to another controller port.

i burn it from 8-18x and changed his controller port but no difference same error aperas…

I think there should be newer firmware too.

Have you found one?

I still think its a connection problem.
To solve this please give me these info:
Motherboard name and model.
BIOS controller ide/sata settings & options.

No i didnt found newer fw ,sbo1 is the newest i found

MB:Asus M2N32SLI SLX WI-FI AP bios version 2101(newest)
bios settings:
sata controller ENABLED
Raid DISABLED
silicon sata II controller SATA MODE
serial port1 adress 3F8/IRQ4
parallel port adress 378/IRQ7
parallel port mode EPP
Onchip ide channel ENABLED
ide dma transfer access ENABLED
ide prefetch mode ENABLED

Hi,
any idea whats wrong???
maybe the Nvidia storage driver strikes again.
Try these:
option 1: uninstall Nvidia Sata drivers using the Nvidia installer you can access in Control Panel -->Add/Remove Software.
It is a good idea to have the Nvidia Sata controller configured as “IDE” (in Bios) if possible.

option 2: install latest chipset drivers from Nvidia.com

O1:I reinstaled vista yesterday and install only graphic driver and nothings changed error apears again

BIOS IDE not possible just DISABLE/ENABLE

O@:latest chipset drivers are instaled
:frowning:

Ok. It was worth trying.
Is there any opportunity to try the drive in another computer?
You mentioned, you also have a Silicon Image controller - could you try the drive there also?

Try it anyway. SiI controllers are normally very compatible with optical drives.

HI ,i tryed my 203d samsung at my friend and he works normaly:S,but at my place just want burn,i even buy nec ad7200s and take friend lg burner and both burners work normaly at my computer but my 203d just want work at my place:S

Sorry, no idea now.
Assuming, you have set your SiI controller to SATA, then this version of controller does not handle all SATA ODD well.

And there is really no option for the Nvidia SATA controller in your Bios apart from Enable/Disable? Hard to believe…

Michael

im telling u there is no other option in bios(just 1 i telling u-few post earlyer) i was checking round and round again.,but why he works well for about 6 month before this starts to happen???:S thats stange,i was suspecting on razer lachesis sw/driver but when i reinstal win and didnt put em again dvd didnt work, and when i update all to most newest drivers again he want to burn dvds(with sboo said logical disk out of adress error and with sbo1 illegal disk) but at my friends computer works normaly, like my new burner and my friends burner at my computer

bios options and my settings again;):
sata controller ENABLED/DISABLED set to ENABLED
Raid ENABLED/DISABLED set to DISABLED
silicon sata II controller DISABLE/RAID/SATA set to SATA MODE

Stupid idea: have you already tried another Sata cable?
Stupid idea: have you already tried another Sata cable?
