So let me get this straight. Running the latest 5900 version of AnyDVD in the backround still does not stop this SOB getting on your machine or preventing you from making a backup?. Please can someone confirm this. Or with AnyDVD running nothing will ever get installed and you can make a backup?

As I understand it Anydvd does not allow autorun to work so your not likley to catch anything. And once again it’s the poor guy that actually buyes the disc that gets it in the end.

Someone call Sony - they’ll probably want to try this one out on some of their dvd releases in the USA - how about in Texas for starters . . . . You can no longer trust the program content of any optical media from the music and movie industries. Always - always - always disable “autorun” on all optical media drives in all your computers. Warn all your friends about this also. Look for anything giving a hint of “Settec” on any dvd’s you are considering buying. If you find it - don’t buy it. Make sure the retail store management knows why you are refusing to buy.

If circumventing copy protection is outlaw in many countries, why the uninformed installations of spyware and malware is always allowed? :c
