Serial Numbers on cd rings on CDR and DVDR

Hey I have noticed Serial numbers on the rings of my CDR and DVDR , I was wondering if could take that number and trace it back to the store i bought it at or me?

You probably won’t be able to trace it to a store, but more to a batch from the manufacturer if you experience problems.
