Seeking a good IDE DVD-R/RW other than Lite-On or Optiarc

I have a LH-20A1P IDE drive that is much too loud and I would wish to replace it, but I already have Optiarc.

I would ask what IDE burners are good to buy other than Lite-On and Optiarc.

Thank you

[/QUOTE]There is not much left.
LG GH22NP/LP series: A mixed bag. Mine is a very good CD writer, DVD is average. Additionally, there are some interface compatibility issues for whatever reason.
TSST (Samsung): The reputation of their 22x drives isn’t the best.
Pioneer: Perhaps you can get your hands on a 116 series drive (these are very rare).

But that seems to be all.

Which Optiarc IDE model do you have? The AD-7200A is the best IDE burner still available, along with the Lite-On DH-20A4H. You’ve basically excluded all the good burners, so you’re screwed.
