Well, the internal drive SATA version costs that much already. I dont know which version installed inside the enclosure, but if it is the SATA drive, you get the drive for the sale price with free enclosure and free backup softwares and accessories such as USB cable

I’ve got one and so far, all’s well.

One gripe is the orange drive indicator color bar isn’t the greatest choice. IMO At first I thought there was a problem since the bar fades on & off w/ use. Plus it clashes with the blinking green and blue rings on the various WD My Books. lol

Well in term of looks and fashion, WD would be a clear winner. Seagate FreeAgent is ugly looking, dull design and on top of that, the led indicator color is orange, which is not so attractive as blue or green. I’d rather have amber than orange led indicator. But if they use the internal SATA drive inside, then it is a good deal since the internal version is sold for the same price when it goes on sale
