I just posted the article Seagate 600 SSD Review.

Seagate are now getting into SSDs in a big way, with their
new 600 series of SSDs. The 600 series uses the LM87800AA LAMD SSD controller,
coupled with Toshiba 19nm toggle mode MLC NAND.
Let’s find out how this new SSD performs in this review.

Great review, but this drive seems pretty mediocre in regards to performance.

In some tests it was beaten by last generation drives, and value series of the current generation.

Given that the other drives are already on the market and readily available, by the time the Seagate unit reaches the market, the unit really only has a place in the bargain bins.

It’s the harsh reality. If it was released and marketed six months ago, it would have been the leader for a few weeks. Now they’ll have to emphasis reliability and warranty support. Maybe offer free data recovery for rma’d drives.
