I update my 216d with firmware 1.09 and patch it with MCSE so my dvd+r will be dvd-rom but now my DVDFAB show my drive “SCSI” not “IDE”.

I don’t know what is SCSI and why it change.

Does somebody have and answer on this?

Hi,

if a drive is connected to a controller that is not “driven” by Windows internal drivers, it is displayed as SCSI drive (see wikipedia for more information about SCSI).
This normally applies to add-on PCI or PCIe-controllers, but this might also happen if the chipset integrated controller is not set to “IDE mode” and run with manufacturer drivers instead of Windows default drivers.

If the drive works, there is no reason to be worried about this.
