Screen Capture

Hi ! I want to screen capture (print screen and the past it to photoshop or word) some DIVX or XVID videos that I have but I can’t .
When I capture the screen the area containing the video appears black. Do you know how to do it? Thanx

Open the video file in something like PowerDVD. It’ll work in that. Windows Media play acts the video as a layer of some sort, so when you capture, you don’t get the screen of what you want. Use a program like PowerDVD or similar to capture it.

pausing the movie and pressing print screen usually works as well.

I’ve had the same problem - buried in the Quest somewhere. Airhead told me about this. Just do a search of ‘PowerDVD’ in the Quest… It should be there somewhere.

But yeah, just screenshot it with PowerDVD.

…or VirtualDub/VirtualDubMod

That should work just as good - even better (I think there’s an option to export the frame?). And it’s a smaller/cheaper alternative.

I use Nero ShowTime, just press “C” during playback to copy it.
