Things are much more expensive here than in most parts of Western Europe and North America. Except humans.
IMB-1000 just happens to be one of the first (thus very immature) generation DMB phone. They say it uses Toshiba DMB parts. LG DMB phones use LG DMB parts and Samsung DMB phones use Samsung DMB parts. I wish it also had Bluetooth 2.0, 8GB internal flash memory, 3-inch instead of 2.4-inch LCD, 10-megapixel camera instead of 2-megapixel camera, 640*480 30fps video recording instead of 320*240 12fps video, and so on. Now you can see why it costs nearly zero now. :iagree:
BTW, it's also one of the heaviest phones released for domestic South Korean mobile phone market since 2005. VK X-100 weighs 53 grams. SKY IMB-1000 weighs 153 grams. IMB-1000's LCD alone is nearly as big as the full body of VK X-100.
