Saving srt file on avi

I have Download a movie with a SRT file, but I want to save the SRT file in the avi, So i can make a vcd of it.

IS it posible to save a srt file on a avi. :confused:

On my pc I can play it with " BSplayer "

So you want to encode the subtitle into the video file rite? Just use virtualdub, the only two thing are (1) you need to convert the *.srt files into *.ssa files and (2) you need to download a plugin for virtualdub, available on the main webpage.

This might seem like a lot, but its actually pretty quick and easy to do, and you don’t lose quality.

i have a sub with the name xx.big5 is srt file , after convert it to ssa file for used in virtualDub , all words become symbol . i have try to open it with the media player classic , all words also become symbol , somebody help me , thanks :bow:

Thanks heaps for that info… I have had a couple of movies I have wanted to get subtitles into for ages!! Now I can watch them again and enjoy the dialogue as well!!
