I bought one from Newegg about a month ago and have had good luck with it so far.

ghetocowboy do you have one?

I got one of these from Newegg a little while ago too. Not a bad burner, but I guess I was expecting more from my first SATA drive. It’s a very slow ripper (using DVDDecrypter or DVDFab) but it is a very quiet drive and burns well (note: first two burns were pretty bad, but subsequent burns have been very good, though not DW1640 or DW1650 quality).

No more room in the case, and dont have the power adapter for it, I am using all 4 of my SATA power cable, but I have plenty of SATA lanes left in my Asus P5B deluxe motherboard. And I have too many drives right now, a few are on the shelves since I have no more room. Currently I am using 4 different optical drives, BenQ 1640, 1655, NEC 3500, and Liteon 16X reader/ripper. My ohter NEC 3500 is on the shelves along with BenQ 1620, BenQ 1670–piece of ssssssshhhh. I also have the samsung 182SH in another computer, so I am not thinking of getting any more optical drives for the time being even it is SATA.
