SATA drive bent pins

I DID have 2 hard drives on my rig. One of the drives used the type of connector that literally just pushes on but the other uses one where the sata cable has to plug onto pins. Safe to say I accidentally bent and broke off all the pins on the drive.

Does anybody know if it’s possible to get the data off the drive somehow? ie strip a sata cable and solder the wires onto the connections inside the
drive?

Also when buying a new hard drive does anybody know what make/model it is best to stick to to be able to pick up a drive that doesn’t use the ‘bendy’ pin connections?

Cheers

You should send the drive in to a company that can retrieve your data you will need to supply them another a drive or purchase one from them.

thanks for the info, looks like I’ll need to do that then, doubt it’ll be cheap.
