SanDisk lowers price of laptop SSDs

It seems the Achilles’ heel of SSDs happens to be price at the moment, but OCZ hopes to help that a bit.

The company’s third generation of SSDs, the G3 Series, was first introduced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The G3 Series currently has two SSDs, including a 2.5-inch C25-G3 and 1.8-inch C18-G3. Each size will have storage capacities of 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB, with pricing of $149, $249, and $499.

That pricing isn’t too bad. Looks like 2009 might see these devices go mainstream.
