Sandisk has confirmed it plans to release SSDs with higher capacities than 4TB next year. The company announced this during the presentation of their quarterly figures. The SSDs were initially planned for 2015.

Well if they are doing this to increase supply and reduce the price then I am all for it…

It’s crazy how quickly SSD storage capacity is catching up with magnetic platters… Hopefully it won’t be long before it surpasses it, and comes way down in price…

I can live with that…SSD capacity meeting and exceeding HDD would be a great thing to have…not to mention weight saving. Even if it isn’t for consumers yet…
