What are other methods to improve quality: change strategy to Yuden000T03/MBIPG101R05?

u can use the MCSE “MediaCodeSpeedEdit” by ala42 to interchange the writing strategy for any media found in the firmware but it needs a lot of experimentation

all can be found in this link (plz read carefully )
http://club.cdfreaks.com/f61/mediacodespeededit-tool-dvd-writers-114269/

i’m not sure how exactly it works for the sammy drives
u should post a question on the above link for ala42 to help u

i wonder if my s203b really scans pesimistic or is my batch mcc004 worse then ‘average’ daxon az3 media? why bother purchasing more expensive dvd’s ?

there still much to consider when it comes to DVD’s specially after the initial scan which tells u-if the disk is a keep or not-is the aging process

lately the MCC004 Batches are becoming worse than older ones

the Daxon AZ3 media is very good in terms of scans and age but the batches have a very big variance factor and the worse of all no direct method to recognize a batch form another so luck is playing a harsh role here

while in the verbs even the manufacturing date is printed on box

i have 600+ BenQ DVD+R Daxon AZ3 and i say i have only 70 disks that will even kick the vebatim into shame while others vary between average to near MIC crap media at 1st scan (thank god they age well ) i use for giveaways and trivial daily use

look at the next brilliant scan was made with the Lite-On 20A1P KL0P made in june 2008

Verbatim 8X Dvd-R, (Movie Reel), MCC02RG20, made in Taiwan. Used SH-S203B SB01.

Same as above, but scanned with SH-S203B, which at least in disc info could give me the manufacturer & MID, the BenQ could not. Had to go into the registry in W7 to get the Sammy back DQing.
