#2

so anyone have any information on this samsung

Seems to have good comments from Newegg. Although I’d trust someone who did a review from here before I bought it. The price isn’t bad at all. I’m not ready for blu-ray burner just yet.

The drive uses the Mediatek MT1939LSU controller, also used by LiteOn for its iHES208 BD combo drive.

The question is: can do BD quality scan?

thats great, i might pick up that drive, since i returned the lite-on i had

Does this Samsung SH-B083L also support DVD scanning and Jitter-Scan?

#9

It does support PIE/PIF DVD scanning. Jitter has not worked with CdSpeed or OptiDriveControl for me. On the up side, it manages to finish a TRT on a BD-R burn gone bad that my iHES208 chokes on.
