[qanda]This thread is about the Samsung SH-S203N / TS-H653N. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]:aHi

I am not sure where to put this in the Forum.

Everytime i burn a blank MCC 03RG20 batch#MAP6 DVD in my Samsung SH-S203N SB02 via Nero DiscSpeed 4.11.2.0, my BENQ 1655 BCIB will only mount it as a blank DVD disc. Everything is grayed out in Nero DiscSpeed and i cannot scan it in my BENQ.

The BENQ will mount properly other DVD discs burned with Nero Burning ROM.

The Samsung will mount it correctly.

So everything is fine if you use Nero or Imgburn and with the same parameters?
Then it’s CD/DVD Speed, that does ugly things.

Shall I move this thread to the Blank media forum?

Thanks for responding,

Yes, my BENQ will scan Verbatim branded MCC 03RG20 fine, if the blank is burned elsewhere like ImgBurn.

:aI have looked at the MCC 03RG20 scans and they are not good so far…

The latest official version of DiscSpeed is 4.11.2.0. Unless you have a later version of Nero installed, that’s what you should have. Do NOT use the beta.

Do you have Nero installed, or do you have WNASPI in the same directory as DiscSpeed?

I’m having a similar problem as NBK. I have the same burner with the same firmware, using a Verbatim (Moser Baer 97m17s06f) CD-R as the test disc.

The graph updated as it should during the Create Disc test, but at the end of the test the graph disappeared (as you can see in the attachment) and nothing happened afterward. Most of the options were grayed out. Any ideas of what went wrong?

Welcome to the forum

I had the same problem with certain versions of CD-DVD Speed. Have you tried the latest version of CD-DVD Speed, rather than DiscSpeed?

#15

Thanks.

Yeah, I have the latest version of DiscSpeed (4.11.2.0). Just curious… what makes the newest version inferior to a previous version, and do you think this will change when DiscSpeed 5 is released?

I just noticed this self-evident reason for the problem. The burned disc has not been finalized and closed.
