A new way to by pass SafeDisc 2 ?
Saturday, March 24, 2001 updated by N.B.
It has come to our attention that the freeware program CDRDao
does copying of SafeDisc 2 protected games with no problems !
It runs under Win9x, WinME, Win 2k, Linux/Unix, Solaris, FreeBSD, OS/2 …
But it hasn´t got a user interface like CloneCD
It is “command-line-based”.
Command for reading a CD: (ra2-al.bin is the image file name)
cdrdao read-cd --device 1,1,0 --driver generic-mmc-raw --datafile ra2-al.bin --read-raw ra2-al.toc
Commend for burning a CD: (ra2-al.bin is the image file name)
cdrdao write --device 1,1,0 --driver generic-mmc-raw --speed 4 -n ra2-al.toc
Maybe you have to edit the --device 1,1,0 bcz this may differ on your system …
And of course you can change the writing speed, to whatever your burner supports and what you want.
But in order to get best SafeDisc2 copying performance, you should stay with 4x !
I am not the coder so if you are running into problems mail the coder of the program !
But you can give me feedback about having success in copying SD2 protected games or not !
