So,only 2 big updates in 1 year, and a naming scheme of “Win 8.1 update 1” instead of 8.2?I guess there’s a long way to go then before Windows 9 hits the shelves…:bigsmile:

It’s just Rumor mill like M$ never really learned it’s lesson and Windows 9 seem more likely to hit market sooner the better and get rid of Windows 8 which has become the Windows ME O/S now lol…:Z

April… just in time for XP to X-Pire. That is going to make 8 more popular (or so Microsoft probably thinks). I sure wish Steve Ballmer would realize there’s a reason why some people still use XP. There’s also a reason I’m typing this using a GNU/Linux system, with Mozilla Firefox.

The Windows 8.1 update stripped all the useful features out of the easy transfer wizard, in preparation for all those people in the future that will be syncing all their files with Microsoft cloud crap service.

You are $#!7 out of luck if you are migrating an older pc to Windows 8.1 though …

My workplace just recently migrated to Windows 7 Enterprise so I doubt they are going to make any leap of faith to go to Windows 8 with all the hardware requirements cost that was to just get to Windows 7 from XP this is the factor FAIL Windows 8 BLUNDER ballamer never figured into the cost of upgrading a O/S to work with existing architecture.
